GENERAL MEETINGS
Our general member meetings are held on the first Monday at 6:30 PM in the months of January, March, May, July, September, and November. The Board can call special meetings during any time and will give notice if that is the case. Meetings are typically held at the WRC grounds either on the NW Bleacher or in the concession stand, but can be held virtually! All meetings and location are posted in member-only communication prior to the meeting.
Members must attend 3 General Meetings annually to remain in good standing. In order for members to vote during the November elections for Officers & Directors, they must attend 3 meetings PRIOR to the November meeting. This may be waived the night of elections by the majority.
WORK & VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENTS
Our organization is 100% volunteer & member ran! In order to keep our events going, Members have a requirement to help not only put on events but also to assist with general maintenance at the ground through-out the year.
Member Work Hours: Each membership is required to work a minimum of eight (8) scheduled working hours on general ground maintenance. The Grounds Director releases a member work day schedule, voted on by the membership, for set work days. Once members are in good standing and have the gate codes, they can work their hours when convenient for them with coordination with the Grounds Director.
Work / Volunteer at WRC Events: Each membership is required to work one-third (1./3) of the WRC Hosted events per calendar year. These events include but are not limited to Playdays, Barrel Races/Jackpots, Barrel Expo Nights, and our Annual 4th of July Rodeo. This gives members the opportunity to be involved in the events that they are interested in. Members can opt to have a friend or family member work their event hours in their place.
NEW MEMBER REQUIREMENTS TO BE CONSIDERED IN GOOD STANDING
New Members must meet these requirements prior to being recognized as in good standing & obtain their voting rights:
-
Complete all 8 Work Hours
-
Attend 1 General Meeting
-
Work/Volunteer at 1 WRC Event
Once a new member is considered in good standing, they have the entire calendar year to meet all requirements. Renewing Members have the calendar year to meet their work and event hours.
