WRC Scholarships
The Whitesboro Riding Club is proud to announce scholarships available for both members and non-members. These scholarships are a vital part of our vison to promote both educational and professional opportunities. By providing financial support to deserving individuals from various backgrounds, we aim to foster talent and encourage broader participation. Our commitment to accessibility and education reflects our dedication to building stronger community connections for everyone.
2026 Scholarships are available in the amount of $500 for the 2026-2027 academic year to the following applicants:
1) graduating seniors in high school or currently enrolled college students
2) students with a minimum 2.5 GPA
3) specialization in agriculture or a related field (animal science, veterinary science, biology, a trade)
4) accepted at or attending an accredited college, university or trade school
5) residents of Grayson County. $500 has also been set aside for WRC member applicant (a total of $1000). All applicants will be considered in a blind review panel based on provided materials.
Application Process
Please fill out the following form and be prepared to provide high school or college transcripts, an acceptance letter (if you are a graduating high school senior), two professional references (not family members), a resume (including your community service, memberships, work history, hobbies, and awards), and an essay of 750-1000 words about your personal goals and motivation for pursuing an agricultural or related field. (You may need to create a google account to upload the necessary forms).
Please submit your application by April 30th 2026 for consideration. Funds may be used towards tuition, fees, and textbook costs.
Awarding Process:
Applicants will be notified no later than May 15th
Instructions on how to receive your funds will be included in in your award letter.
