ABOUT US
Whitesboro Riding Club is a volunteer non-profit riding club (registered 501c3), we are dedicated to promoting the spirit of teamwork, community, and the rich heritage of rodeo. Our mission is to provide a supportive environment for participants of all ages to develop their skills, foster friendships, and engage in safe, fun, and educational rodeo experiences. We strive to inspire a love for the sport while giving back to our community through outreach and volunteer efforts. Together, we celebrate the thrill of rodeo and the values of hard work and dedication.
Our Yearly Events Include:

The Annual 4th of July Rodeo
This event accounts for 80% of WRC’s fundraising efforts.
WRC takes pride in producing one of the largest small-town rodeos in the United Professional Rodeo Association over the Fourth Of July Weekend. Our Annual 4th of July Rodeo averages over 2500 spectators, along with 400 plus contestants and their families and friends in attendance. We are proud to say that we have earned a spot among the “Top Five Rodeos in the United Professional Rodeo Association “ and continue to participate in the Cowboy Christmas Performance Bonus Run that only takes place over the fourth of July weekend. Our Rodeo events include Bull Riding, Bareback, Saddle Bronc, Team Roping, Calf Roping, Steer Dogging, Barrel Racing, Ladies Breakaway, and Ranch Bronc, plus extra nightly events that include the Kids Calf Scramble, Women’s Steer Scramble, and Youth Barrel Racing.

Royalty Competition
Our youth royalty competition hosts the titles for the Miss Whitesboro Riding Club Rodeo Queen, Princess, and Little Buckaroo/Buckarette. This competition encourages contestants to promote the sport of rodeo at public events with a positive approach and teaches the value of horsemanship along with friendship. Each contestant gains lifelong skills that include public speaking, interviewing, and social skills. Contestants ride each night at the Rodeo and interact with the crowd providing giveaways. All titled Royalty spend a year representing WRC at local Rodeos, parades, festivals, and present awards at all WRC events.
Annual 9-1-1 Benefit Barrel Race:
In 2024 WRC organized its first benefit barrel race to support local responders that give so much to our community. These first responders provide dedicated ambulance services, security, traffic control, and fire monitoring during Fireworks show each and every year at our Annual 4th of July Rodeo.

Play Days Events
As a non-profit we organize events for our youth and community to participate in at a low cost. All of the proceeds above are used to provide year end awards to nominated participants.
Other Events- Horsemanship Clinics, Trail Course Competitions, 4 H events, and Barrel Races.
